Green Iguana
In 1998 I visited the GREEN IGUANA Project in Belize. I was facinated to learn so much about this beautiful reptile. I just had to paint it!
An informational and educational exhibit has been designed to give visitors a closer look at this amazing reptile and learn how vital they are to the ecological balance of the river habitat. Here, visitors are given the opportunity to learn about the incubation, hatching, rearing, and releasing process of this specie.
The Green Iguana Conservation Project offers the Adopt an Iguana Program which aims to raise funds to sustain the Project and provide scholarships for local children.
Over the years, the Project has received much attention by local and international organizations and continues to be the Number 1 Activity in the San Ignacio (TripAdvisor).
